Just because some bloke on the internet told you to do it wrong, doesn't make it right. They will probably work, just because modern spoke metallurgy is incredibly tolerant of wheelbuilding stupidity.

The spoke overlaping, close to the hub flange, looks wrong to me. I would have thought all the heads-in spokes should cross the first heads-out spokes on the outside.
