Have you considered that the chain may be stretched unevenly - they never stretch uniformly especially when riding fixed...

Thanks for taht, but I am sure its the chainring.....It doesnt sit properly in the spider. It might also be the spider, but this is the cheaper option to start with...It has a new izumi chain

The old school way to centre chainrings on the spider is to turn the cranks to where the chain is tightest, loosen the chainring bolts a little and hit the chain hard with a spanner or hammer and then tighten up the chainring bolts again and check...

Hiya - I have a (almost) unused; Blackspire Chainrings - Road Mono Veloce Single Speed Series 1/8" 5-Bolt 130mm 48t Black.
I bought it from Chainreaction as i was convinced I needed to go 1/8. I didn't and stayed on 3/32. It's got maybe 25 miles. I paid £44.99 a couple of months ago. Open to sensible offers.
Ive just got hold of a bike and the chain ring appears to be 'ovalised'....good chain, slack chain, good chain, slack chain ect...........
I think the chain ring is fah-hooked
What have you got??
