Gloves

I know theres a winter gloves and polo gloves thread, but I couldnt find a general gloves thread.

For those of you that ride with gloves, what do you currently use and what have you used in the past?
What do you reccommend and what would you steer clear of?
Perhaps we could start a list?

I currently have some Troy lee XC gloves, had them for a good few years now and been nothing but disappointed. Brake dots (the little traction dots on the index fingers) started to come off after a month, six months in all the threading on the right thumb came undone leaving a gaping hole (not pleasant on cold days!). Granted they have still held up until now, but given the price I was expecting a lot more.

TLD + glove liners are ideal however.

No seriously, these are my gloves.
Keeps your hands at a good temperature. Gel padding for comfort. Grip is great.

Anyone know of any cheapish Keirin Style gloves?
I have had a quick search on Google and here and havent found anything under 30 quid.

I've never owned a pair of gloves with rubberised detail that didn't come off. Always starts to peel away after a few weeks... Makes them look tatty and winds me up. Meh.

brake dots coming off is standard. you got 6 months out of a set of gloves? sounds like a bargain to me! TLD XC FTW!

^Should probably say that it was six months of ocassional use, so probably more like 2 months every day use.

had some budget track mitts from edwardes when it was warm, they were ok but did seem to disentegrate rather rapidly when in contact with any moisture and left suedey bits everywhere.

got fed up in the cold weather, took to wearing some rather gucci cashmere leather glove things that i got given as a present a while ago. Have done fine, although i do look like a bit of a creep.

Need to sort it out really.

Sealskinz... These are nice and warm, though they are not ENTIRELY waterproof. They also hold out well, have been using them this winter and the last one and they didn't need any stitching.

Also, I have been using mits from "Grib Grab", PlanetX and Giordana.. Most needed fixing, except the PlanetX-ones actually....

What warm weather gloves are people wearing at the moment?
I liked my grippy sealskinz as I could ride without bartape. Looking for a summer equivalent.
