BEARD AUDAX FRAME c1998 Reynolds 631
Seat Tube (ctc) : 54cm (21.25in) (23in 58cm ct top of seat tube)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 45mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: English
    Frame Tubing: Reynolds 631
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a very nice road/light touring/Audax frame which has the geometry of a road frame but has rear rack mounts. Its built from Reynolds 631 heat treated tubing which is a top quality tube set just below 853. I do not know anything about Beard but I would guess that it was the name of a cycle shop that applied the transfers. Its in very good condition – the paint is generally very good with just a few marks and there is one very small dent on the top tube. £95 reduced to £85

BENOTTO ROAD FRAME c1988 COLUMBUS SLX
    Seat Tube (ctc) : 56cm (22in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 45mm)
    Bottom bracket threads: Italian
    Frame tubing: Columbus SLX
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is a rather nice Benotto road frame from the late 1980s - its in very good condition with just a number of small marks to the paint. The chrome is generally very good with just some pitting under the fork crown. It has a lot of nice details including the heart shape cutout in the bottom bracket. With horizontal dropouts it would make an easy singlespeed or fixed conversion. £95 reduced to £85 SOLD

FAUSTO COPPI Early 1990s New and unused
    Seat Tube (ctc): 59cm
    Top Tube (ctc): 58cm
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame tubing: Columbus Thron
This frame is new and unused but has quite a number of marks to the paintwork. I will include with it a set of red Coppi threadless forks. These Coppi frames are really rather nicely built and offer an excellent ride. £120

DAWES ROAD FRAME 25.5in Early 1980s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 65cm (25.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
    Rear dropout width: 124mm
    Wheel size: 27in or 700C
    Seatpost size: 26.6mm
Brake drop with 700C wheels: 66mm
Large road frames such as this rarely turn up. This frame is in very sound condition - the brazing to the top tube was to fill a small dent. This frame would benefit greatly from a repaint or powder coat. And with longish horizontal dropouts would make a really easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. £35 SOLD

    SHORTER TT
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21.75in
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 butted main tubes
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 45mm
Alf Engers the great British short distance time trial specialist rode Shorter frames in the 1970s. Their frames were not built in house but by a variety of framebuilders including it is believed Vic Edwards and Wally Green. This particular frame could well be a Vic Edwards built frame - it is lighter than a standard 531 DB frame and has some really nice details including the fastback seatstays.
    £95** reduced to £89**

    UNKNOWN MAKE ROAD FRAME 1970s/80s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 124mm
    Wheel size: Sprints or 700C
    Tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
    Seatpost size 27.0mm
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 52mm
This very nicely built frame has a very unusual braze-on for the shifter levers on the top of the down tube - they however take standard braze-on levers - Campag, Shimano etc... The frame is in very nice condition and the paint whilst not the best finish is in very good condition with no marks of any consequence. £59

    SPECIALIZED TRICROSS SINGLESPEED
Seat Tube (ctc): 20in 50cm (22in 56cm to top of seat tube)
    Top Tube (ctc): 1.2 (54cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 700C
The singlespeed version of the Specialized Tricross is really rather rare and features track rearward facing dropouts. This one is in generally very good condition though there is some paint loss but there are no dents. The top tube is shaped so that it can easily be carried - an essential for cycle cross. £125 reduced to £95 SOLD

    HANNINGTON CHILD’S TRAILERCYCLE
This is a truly lovely child’s trailercycle built probably in the 1960s - it is far superior to the cheap modern ones which attach to the seatpost. The lower fitting with the hitch vertically over the rear wheel on a purpose built rack means that the towing bike does not get tugged in anything like the same manner as the cheap ones. Isla Rowntree and Burley copied this design when they built child trailercycles in the 1990s because it was simply the best design...The seat tube is 14in long on the trailercycle - this is short enough for most 6-7 year olds with the short cranks - the cranks can be changed as the child gets older and its suitable up to about 9 years old. £69

    MERCKX ROAD FRAME 1970s
    Seat Tube (ctc): 55cm
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm
    Rear dropout width: 122mm
    Wheel size: 700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 50mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Mercks road frames from the early 1970s are very rare in this country. Merckx licensed the use of his name to different builders in countries across Europe - in England inexplicably it was Falcon but in Belgium it was Kessels. This frame sourced from Germany was probably built by Kessels. Its obviously a quality frame with drilled lugs and heavily slotted BB shell. The frame weight is about 2kg and it takes a 27.0mm seatpost so is built from good quality tubing. The long Campy dropouts suggest it is from the first half of the 1970s. Its ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion with its long horizontal dropouts. £225
