i wouldnt wanna draw the short straw:
they def need to be glued to be solid enough, but you could bolt a couple of the joints to make them collapsible at least.
They were loosely based on Krhue specs, they are a little narrower but that can easily be changed.
Everything was purchased at DIY store, which i think is important.. it means that a cheap accesible international goal standard can be put into place easily by a lot of people.
