Best easter egg that I had was from Chocolate Addicts in Kensington Market. It was hand crafted shell and engraved with The Birth of Venus. Inside there were a collection of smaller truffle eggs done in the full range of flavours including violets, lavender and chilli, also handcrafted.
Mass produced eggs simply do not compare.
Mind you, if you aren't in the vicinity of a talented chocolatier, I would probably go for either a creme egg or a truffle egg.
