The "Formula flip-flop" measurement came from Arup: http://www.yogarup.com/wheels/hubs.php
In any case, Prav is right: The small difference in centre-to-flange leads only to an insignificant 0.3 mm difference in resulting spoke length.
If you do end up buying the formulas maybe measure them again and let me know.
