The only failure on that bike is the lights.
It is clearly a bike for practicality, not style. It isnt "trying" anything. Rider has set bike up to be comfortable, would the fixie police consider that a crime?
I think 90% of japanese fixie-skidders are worse than that.

get a bike that fits/is more practicle.
i think its a bloody ugly bike.
(but, yes, so many of the bikes here in Japan are also terrible, just in different ways)

No need to criticise someone for their language skills. There's plenty of other stuff to criticise.
Louis, are you saying that the Alien is like your lopro? If so, please enlighten us. I can't really see it.
Nope. I just rode both sequentially in order to get a better feeling about the handling /steering of each one. You know the conclusion.

There's a Merckx crying in one of those pictures... poor thing.
I rescued it from the dumpster. It is a SS for my wife and she loves it.

So you have both pics.

That jig looks great!
Will he be using it on the Telfer...?Nope. I will spare the Telfer from this fate. However I am looking for ideas where I can use it. Today Ceeway delivered some track ends and I am ready.

Tornado is a danish builder.
He builds kind of expensive custom frames and this one is clearly a track pursuit frame of some sort..
I just found out where it's at.. it has been like this for at least a year.
I'm going to try to find the owner, and buy it of him.. If I'm lucky he has the original parts or at least the original fork.
The frame it self is kind of anti, but it's still a piece of history and I'm sure mr. Tornado (thats not his name) will be able to tell me some more about it if I get hold of it..

From Current Projects;
It's epic isn't it.
It looks like a whippet taking a crap.
it's so bad, I really want to have a spin on it to find out how badly it would handle.
It's already my favorite worst bike ever : D
Ah man, I'm too late. Any more pictures? So curious.
Ah wait, is it #8425?
-
• #8415
It is... :)
Actually I think the Tornado is almost as bad.. I hope I can save it from it's misery :)
-
• #8416
Yeah that's it in both it's recent incarnations.

This one I used last night for comparing with the Telfer.
It's a bit wierd some bits are new:
Risers, frame logo, black cxp22,other bits are 'vintage':
lugs and colour of frame, all the chrome, old campag cranks, chainring, stem, brooks, gumwall tyres etcYou'd be better off putting drops on it, esp considering there is not much seatpost showing and it has two brakes. However, then you've still got the problem of the typeface of the logo (head explodes)...

I never go on drops, they are useless to me and is bad for riding in a heavy traffic.
Riser is 13 years old, it has been annodized titanium in order to match the stem color (Grammo titanium).
The typeface of the logo is the original one, except that the "A" is solid in my bike. I bought it as bareframe without paint from Alien Bikes an year ago.

I like the Alien frame, waaaaay better than your other bike...

The Alien is dead pretty. Can't believe it's owned by the same chap who birthed that other POS into an unsuspecting and frankly unprepared world.

13 year old alu riser bar?
Not a fan of your teeth? -
• #8422
Hey! I have a similarly aged riser bar, bought when I was about 15. Its anodized pink (it looked red in the shop) from when anodizing became big in the 90s. Its a trans x one. Its very sentimental to me. I think aluminuim fatigue is over rated.

Thanks. I just like to try new things, sometimes things don't go well. In the end, all have had a lot of fun with that. Cheers.
