SAG Messenger Bags

  • Anyone know anything about the messenger bags? I cant bring myself to buy a chrome or something. I found a place that can get them over here. Always liked the look but never saw any reveiws, let me know.

  • They look smart! Check http://www.michaellinnell.co.uk/inde...%20and%20Trays these out, i only found out about them yesterday but they sound pretty good. Basically an unbranded chrome bag by the look of it, but cheap!

I'm dying to hear what Scot has to say, about that cheap bag being the same as a Chrome.

I think you may be a bit off-base with your optimism porter7474.

In my opinion, their official Royal Mail bag, is the better buy. The black one, is huge, yes, but I can't see any other saving graces.

  • same in looks, im sure the quality wont be as good as a chrome

  • like i said i only found out about them yesterday and for a 700mm wide bag for £30 doesn't seem too bad, my mistake if they aren't all that...

  • Anyone know anything about the SAG (sic) messenger bags?

There are messenger bags from 74 manufacturers to choose from, in the Courier / Messenger Bag thread.

There must be something on there that you like. As far as SAG bags (Gaudi-Sag in the list) are concerned, I don't know anything about them really.

Depends what your purpose is for buying that type of bag. Style and budgets are catered for in that list. Hope it helps.

What's wrong with a Chrome? If it's price then fair play. But, IMO, they are good bags and are good value for money as they'll last you a long long time.

  • @ Archi: Apart from the obvious fakenger kudos that goes with bag (which I am trying to avoid) I'm trying to cut back on cost. I cant see myself spending a mint for a bag. I know they say they are the best but somehow I'm just not hooked at that price tag (unless someone can convince me that is). Although to be honest SAG arent that cheap either.

Seeing as no-one knows much about them I think I'll order one. I read some stuff on Highsnobiety about the bags and they seem to be a fan so I'll let you know.

Haha. I've got one of these, but it says: 'ROYAL MAIL' on it and has yellow reflective parts. That, and it's got a few (big) rips and therefore can only be used with another bag in it. So I'm riding with a broken rucksac in a broken postal bag.

It's a good look, each time I open the postal bag it's like my birthday cos there is more to unwrap...

  • new Sag x mash backpacks are epic - hit mashsf.com store for deets...

my mates got one, havent asked him about it though, will do soon
    they look quite good though

  • I picked up a medium SAG messenger in black from http://www.pbicollection.com/?id=home It just arrived this morning, will let you know how I get on

  • Got an email asking about the bag so I thought I'd post this in case anyone else had any queries about the bag.

"Love the bag, a few little niggles, but they may be down to me more than anything else.

It's a single strap bag, I'm used to having two, one that goes across the body and one over the shoulder, but the bag does kind of mould to your body when you're wearing it so you don't really need the second strap. However, the strap isn't massive, on my old messenger the strap was huge. The strap on the M seems to be a touch snug. I am 6ft 3, so I'm not the smallest of guys, but if I was to get one again I would go for the L.

Size-wise it depends what you're planning on using it for, again I thought the M would be suitable for me and so far it's been fine, but if I ever need to lug more than a pair of trainers and a laptop I might struggle.

Two great positives are the lock carrier that allows you to hang it from the inside of the bag easily and the material, it's rubberised and waterproof and has more than done the job so far.

Hope this helps, if you were still unsure about buying one, there's a shop out the back of the Truman Brewery that sells them (opposite the red double decker bus) sorry, but I can't remember its name.

    Hope this helps

  • I've used my SAG on my commute to work in the summer (45 mile round trip), it's fine lots of internal pockets too, also has a handy place for a HiViz to in the flap over bit.

  • I have a Slightly used SAG air force one backpack in black for sale...

    Same as this:
