Thought you only paid £90 for it?
another price drop, £90 with bits
-

ONO. it's not illegal to round things up is it? Considering miller was originally looking for £120 without the bits, and price dropped for a quicker sale, I think that £120 with all the bits plus a brand new bb is a good asking price
And I've cleaned it up some.

I didn't say it was "illegal". It's also not "illegal" to point it out on your thread.
I'm sure a £5 BB and a quick spray with a hose is worth £30.

@soul: I'm sorry, can you please comment more succinctly, I can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or trying to help me out. If you were trying to 'catch me out', that's a pretty underhanded way of doing that yourself. I don't appreciate hypocrisy such as this. Think before you post mate - I'd already put the original thread in this thread, where it clearly states the history of the price of this lot. Any underhandedness on my part was done unintentionally, as CLEARLY I paid £90 for it and have put it back up for more, or the nearest offer, which will hopefully be the price I paid for it.
Fucks sake, some people just enjoy meddling

I'm trying to help people who come to the thread. At least it is now clear that you paid £90 for the frame.
If you want to sell it for £200 or £120 then that's up to you.

if you're going to be using the site to turn a profit then i certainly hope you'll soon have a little star beside your name....

The point is that is was clear before. I don't appreciate your attitude, or the contention it has now created. If you were really trying to make things clearer, you would have made clearer your advice to me about my thread not being very clear, instead of posting a random 'clever' statement about the price. But there it is, we're not all perfect by all means

I'm not sure i understand. My post was quite simple and didn't say anything about it being wrong or right.
You decided to post a justification and i would have left it at that but you kept going. At least your thread has been bumped a few times.

I'm talking about this comment, with the quotation marks, and the sarcasm. Not at all helpful or very civilised. Again, if you were really trying to make things clearer, you would have made clearer your advice to me about my thread not being very clear, instead of posting a random 'clever' statement about the price. Of course I'm going to justify it, as your initial comment asked me about the price, which is clearly different to the price I bought this lot for.
Now do you understand?

This thread is a bit weird.
Tash, I had worse... alright not worse, but a similar level of "smartarse" comments when I was trying to sell something recently. I had it up for what I thought was a reasonable price but turned out to be a fair bit more than the market would bear.
So for someone to offer an item for more than was paid for on here only a couple of days ago...and then get offended when called on it is pretty naive I think. If you'd offered it back for the same or less than you actually paid then doubtless you'd have had no comments.
As it is i'd suggest that a couple of pretty mild remarks relating to the uplift in price aren't really worthy of the amount of umbrage taken.
Of course non of this is worth the dull post i've just made either but that's beside the point.
You can haz another bump.
Good luck with the sale.

seems like a reasonable price to me.
and it's all about aluminium frames these days.

^ My point but well put.

Again, i never said it wasn't a fair price. Just thought it would be fair to make it clear to people as it wasn't clear from the first post.
Anyway; we have been bumping this thread all day and the bike hasn't sold. Maybe you should consider a price cut ;)

Sorry I got a bit carried away there. I guess all i was really saying was "calm down and try not to take it personally".
At least you're within a whisker of what people seem to be willing to pay, so I'm sure it'll be snapped up soon.
-
• #19
to be fair soul, your first wasn't worth posting as it was clear that's what she paid for it from the included link, i always find it a bit fairer on the seller to ask questions via a pm, if i'm not interested i won't comment on the price.

Tash, I think the best way is to completely ignore comments like that and then they are seen in the right (silly) context.

I'm trying to help people who come to the thread but have ended up sounding like a tit.....
yup, them's the breaks.

I'm a cunt and don't know what i'm talking about
Two can play at that game ;)

i think soul should buy it for £125

Tempted. Probably worth more though.

For sure, but my grammar is better than your typed nonsense.
Chill my friend, it's only bike bits. If it's too expensive, no one will buy it. I think it's still a bargain.
SOLD
Bought this 54 c-t (52cm c-c) off miller yesterday, no longer required as have found my ideal trade. Check out the thread below for pics. All bike bits in the pics included. I also have a brand new 68mmx103mm square taper bottom bracket to go with it. Also willing to split frame/forks for the right price.
The paint has been stripped to it's alu glory, but could do with some stickering up as the 'Langster' and 'Specialized' logos are still vaguely visible.
£120 ono
