Do these shenanigans carry on every week? I live about a 15 minute cycle from that pub and I'm about to be made redundant so they'll be plenty more beer swilling time.

Which pub? The Royal Inn or the Half Moon? If you mean the Royal Inn then yes, shenanigans in some form every week. I will also be recessioned soon - East beers redundancy club ftw :b

I'm drinking after work tomorrow, so unlikely to get to Rollas.

Anyone got a Shimano crank puller they can bring to Easts? I need to get my second chainring off and just my luck it's the one on the inside of the spider.
-
• #4608
you can some times get it off without removing the crank if it's not too small and depending on the BCD - just take off the outer one, and you might be able to rotate it round to the point where you can work it off around the crank. you might then need to take the pedal off to complete the removal. I'm guessing you've tried this already?

I've got a couple of crank pullers - one definitely works for Campag, and the other doesn't so maybe it'll work for Shimano.

Ben, how's the bugle?

Ha! I haven't actually tried that. Will give it a go now.
Edit: I am an idiot. For some reason I didn't think to take off the outer chainring. Inner once came straight off. Cheers Ben.

There is a group of us Norths meeting in the Kings Arms, Holborn before rolling down South of the River. You are more than welcome to join. They'll be people there from 5.30pm.
