Meh, infected mushroom were interesting maybe 10 years ago, the first 2 albums were genius, BP empire had its moments, then they stopped being psychedelic and started being shit. very shit. these days they are fucking gash electro-pop-ebm monstrosity. they can fuck right off thankyou very much.

IM are just one of those things, you either love em or hate em, there is no middle ground. I reckon they're phat. Saw them live in Turkey under the stars with the most amazing lazer show. The entire festival was psytrance, and peeps were equally divided on going to see IM. Their set had loads more atmosphere than the rest and was glad I didn't listen to all the haters.
Those who think it's just all electronic garbage - IM also use live guitarists and percussionists and at least are not afriad to upset the staus quo. Music does not progress unless boundaries are pushed.

To this day, Flying Rhinos first flight is my favorite Psy album, and Trans Africa Express my favorite tune off it

Yup - was just looking it up - i have the whole x-dream back catalog, Radio was a great album, but X-Dream have changed direction too recently.

I can't believe how different they are to when I first heard them/saw them. "Release Me" live c.2000/2001...total lose-the-plot psytrance madness. Now they jump around with guitars with the bald one attempting to sing/rap...shameful.
Aphid Moon's new album is good. A diamond in the rough, really.

Tim Schuldt is the best Psytrance DJ/Act i have seen live - very industrial and guitar influenced, but plays all the instruments live whilst remixing on stage, phenominal to watch. I saw him in Tyson street back in 98, i think he makes more heavy metal now.
I think a lot of what IM does was influenced by him

IM are massive in America now, hence the change of direction
Twisted and Simon Posford continue to produce the goods, lots of great albums coming out of that stable.
Anyone listend to Sphongles latest, best yet IMO
