hey crumb - if you take some more snaps, can you wire brush off the rust and try and look inside both sides of the break - preferably close-ups (macro).
If theres not much good metal left it will be tricky.
Flex the chainstay around a bit to check it's not just about to snap somewhere else.
I'll need to put a sleeve in or something, but tube looks crushed.. hmm.
...or just bring it to Wests on Thursday for a look IRL.
Superted is reputedly very good, but your budget is way down I think.
