had a halfords £12 700x23 coupled witha specialized inner tube on my back wheel for about 6 months only had 1 puncture and the tyres still gt some grip left no skidding though, had the same on the front and got a puncture weekly until i put a conti tyre on the front and it got sliced wide oen by a piece of glass first time i rode on it! good ol' continental!!!!!!!!!
