  • All gone now!
still, there's an entertaining discussion about doing bathrooms if you scroll down...

  • dibs the dell pc

  • Dibs on the magnetic set and the toddler puzzles in the Beatrice box. Can pick up from Easts or wherever's convenient (quite a large load together) soon.

  • 2nd dibs no6 and the magnet thing please

  • love the story to go with the kid's toys collection haha.
would say second dibs on the dell but i'd better not

  • Dell has now gone.

  • And burn the farm animals. - dibs Oliver Schick

I thought he was a Vegan?

  • Dark people these vegans. dark people.

  • Dark people these vegans. dark people.

I bet he's locked away somewhere with a bacon buttie...... mmmmmmmmm

  • I want the puzzles for my little nephew. I missed the bit about burning the farm animals completely.

  • Another dell is coming up soon. watch this space.

  • dibs

  • Still got the not-playdough.

  • What about the Dell?

  • It's still hiding under a big pile of things. Been busy fitting a new bathroom.
Maybe this weekend. Mind you it's been pre-dibbed.

  • Is this the bathroom you have been working on for the last 4 weeks?

  • Look, it's meant to be new. If he didn't keep working on it, it would soon get old.

  • He's a computer man not a plumber diy man ;p

  • It's the bathroom I have done a bit more of each weekend. Except for last weekend when I couldn't be bothered.
I've got plastering to do next, and tiling. And a new floor, and painting, and boxing in of pipes.

  • Why plaster when you can bond plaster board to the wall and don't box it pipes chase them in or re route them, board the floor then tile it.

  • I haven't got to do a full plastering job, just got to skim the plasterboard to make a level surface for tiles. loads of the old skim coat came off when I removed the old tiles.

The pipes are staying where they are as I've finished the plumbing and nothing leaks. They all run along one wall. It will be nice and make a good storage for cleaning products etc.

Floor is concrete and will be vinyl tiles, replacing current vinyl. Only problem with the floor and the tiles is agreeing with my girlfriend about which ones to get.

  • Before

    During

    Nearly at the end

If you need a hand let me know ......

  • don't put vinyl on the floor its shit..............

  • I hear you. I was going to put slate down but cutting it round radiator pipes and having to move the pedestal basin are things I cannot be bothered doing.

I think the main problem with vinyl is that it's usually pretending to be something else, like wood or tiles, and it looks cheap and shit. However we found there are some nice photographic print ones with rose petals, grass, pebbles and the like which might look good, and some cool geometric stripes which are funky and would go well. Just need to see some samples.

  • I have a tile cutter you are welcome to borrow http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10568045&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=tile+cutter&fh_eds=ß&fh_refview=search&ts=1266526645376&isSearch=true not the best but it does the job might, how difficult is it to raise the pedestal and pan by half an inch. If you are spending money then do it once and do it properly ;p as what is worse you spending X amount or the GF complaining that you haven't done the job properly ;p
