Hey all,

Anyone one here got any experience with the Moulton F Frame?

I'm gettign mine resprayed this weekend and cannot budge the lock ring on the Fork - I daren't give it any more brute force.

Hot cocoa for any helpful suggestions

(NB got the gumph off the Moultoneer website and have substatially googled)

This is the absolute worst job to do on any bike... I managed it a couple of years ago when restoring a MK3, and the best place to find this kind of specialised info is in the moulton yahoo group. I can't now recall all the procedures for removing the front fork but you will need a 10 inch screwdriver and a C-spanner (for the lock-ring) and much patience. Probably copious amounts of some kind of de-seizing solvent too. Whatever you do, don't get it repainted until everything is out because there are nylon bearings and a rubber column lurking within. I think the yahoo site has a section diagramme of the front fork suspension assembly as well, which is essential viewing. May The Ace have the best of luck!
