Last time I was done for speeding, few years ago mind, it so happened my licence was away for renewal. I told them and they said fine, should arrive before the 28 days I had to pay. It did, and I sent the paper copy away with the money and they sent it all back saying I had to send the plastic card too.
So I sent all that back and they sent it all back again as it was after the 28 days and I would be hearing from someone.
I never heard anything about it again.
