Nationwide will give you £75 if you sign up for their account at the moment, I think they're still a building society (more ethical) and they're the best for not ripping you off when you take money out abroad.
First Direct will give you £100, they are owned by HSBC (boo) and don't pay interest but have UK based call centres and a lot of their customers are very happy with the service they offer.
If Metro bank ever gets going you might want to consider them if convenience/customer service is your priority. They reckon they can set your account up and issue you with a debit card and everything else in half an hour.
Let's just say again. All banks are shit. Some are less shit than others. Sort it out fuckos.
