Help me to make my lo pro dreams come true...
Need a cheapy 650c clincher tyre (and tube, if you have one, but not essential) - I've built myself my first ever wheel and want to try it out before I decide between this and the tub wheel my frame came with. So cheap is important, as it might get quickly retired from use if it turns out my wheel building skills are appalling.
I'm using lovely, sanded down to raw metal and polished risers from a DH bike, but they have a really small opening for plugs, since they are quite thick alloy. No plugs I have found even come close to fitting in the hole as yet... I've seen dog collar ones in Tokyo Fixed today, but they were an eye watering £17, which seems excessive, since I am poverty itself. If anyone has something cheaper, that would be grand. Failing that, I'll have to sell the grips I have and get yellow oury's, but i'd rather not do that since I like the grips.
Finally, although not essential, if anyone has a nice silver pair of pedals, might be interested. I can't decide what to do about this, so suggestions would be grand. I normally run clips and straps, and don't want anything aero, would prefer something with a nicer platform.
