Don't bother. In weather like this you'll never keep your feet dry, short of wrapping them in plastic bags.
The shape of Sidi Dominantor undersoles mean they shred overshoes too. I've been using these from Prendas;
They keep the worst of the rain out of my shoes and, at £7.50 a pair, don't break the bank so I can cope with them getting holey after a winter's use.
