Is it not summer yet? Quite frankly I'm getting sick of riding to work in relative dryness yet arriving home piss wet through and frozen to the core due to what can only be described as antisocial weather.
(Disappears to mumble swear words in the kitchen)

Finally it's happened, after 35 years I've broken a bone... rushing + black ice = sliding 15' up hill and a fractured scaphoid. And, no bike for me for 4-6 weeks. Joy. The thought of hours of bus grimness is depressing me already...
I will need beer!
So, given the recent Norffs on tour tradition, how about a one-off relocation tomorrow to either The Swimmer or The Landseer? Decent beer, and plenty bike parking. Oh, and walkable for me.

Like Paddy Ashdown said...I neither touched her left leg, nor her right leg, but....
I'm old.

Mmm, Swimmer, my old local. Nice boozer.
That sucks about breaking your hand. I hope you heal up sooner rather than later. :)
-
• #8265
Ouch. Shit. Just spotted that. Scaphoids can take a while to heal I think? :(

Dave4 sorry about the scaphoid fracture.
I look forward to seeing you the Flask. I'm sure I couldn't support an unsanctioned breakaway (in N19!)

Ouch! Hope it heals up quickly.
Happy to head to your local to to buy you a commiseratory pint of painkiller.
Anyone else claiming to have slid 15 feet up a hill during a crash, and I would assume it was a typo. I can well believe it in your case.
-
• #8274
Ouch - sorry to hear about your crash Dave. I nearly lost it going over a pothole disguised as a puddle this morning, but 'luckily' only a puncture. Brrr.
Oooh, a relocation means no hills tonight. Happy days :) -

I will have to ring the flask and tell them not to book the room out.
What have we gone for? The Swimers or the Landser?
Will the flask be selling pancakes?
