The last few months have been a staggering illustration of the stupid and capacity for denial of the species. The various climategates hit, public opinion on ACC wavers towards denial and the politicians are suddenly actively criticising climate research data they have no comprehension on newsnight and now we have only 26% of the population agreeing that human endeavours are causing climatic change.
The fact that our species still considers "infinite growth" as a valid economic/population model and our sweeping under the rug attitude toward concepts such as "carrying capacity" is the all the evidence i need to come to the conclusion that at a societal level we are utterly insane.
This shit is going to roll us right up and we'll be denying it right to the last.
