my latest project. '74 colnago super frame, cleaned-up and resprayed. Already had nitto technotronic, brooks saddle, mavic wheels, time atacs, hubs.
Had an italian bb added, along with campagnolo 165 pista cranks, nitto drops and shimano 600 front brake. Needs a good seatpost (one of those pitted colnago ones from the 70's or a panto'd will do it).
prob get a new brake lever at some point too and add brooks bar tape this week.
Sorry about three photo's, couldn't get a good wide.
Big thanks to Scherrit for his work on this project.

Pics and you may be able to justify the slaughter, as far as the paint's concerned...

elbow grease just means i have put in a lot of work with my hands, i remove rust from chrome with a piece of hard plastic or wood and just scratch it off and than wipe with a rag and last some autosol polish to get it really shiny again, never use anything metal on chrome
I thought using aluminium foil on chrome was OK, as it's supposedly softer than chrome and won't scratch it?
@cack3tt: obligatory slack chain comment as no-one else mentioned it...

Ignore the haters, Colnagos aren't that rare and it's better a conversion than getting melted down and turned into some nasty supermarket BSO or even worse another car.

Recently finished project, 1978 Roberts track frame. Resprayed to original colours. Massive toe overlap so maybe confined to the track.

/attachments/21349Both my roberts have a fair bit of toe overlap, one is strictly for the track but the other i use on the road and the overlap does not bother me at all, just ride it and enjoy it,.
