Think I should point you all (if no one has already) to Stefan Van Fleteren's great series of pictures on racing and the Classics in Flanders. Had a launch of the exhibition here a few years ago which included riding through London at rush hour with Johann Museeuw, Lion of Flanders, quite a sight, followed by much free Vedette beer and a ramshackle Flemish brass band. A great photographer

also here's a lovely one of Bernard Hinault in the infamous 1980 Liege-Bastogne-Liege - the one where he finished 20 mins ahead of the the remaining 30 or so out of a a field of 100 plus and needed hot water poured over his hands to un-freeze them from the bars. Grim:

Ha, I was on that ride. That was a wonderful evening and a great party. Loved the band!
