...rust all over the chromed parts...elbowgrease cleared it all up
Please explain to someone who's not a native English speaker, what's elbowgrease and how do you actually clean rust from chrome parts? thanks, sorry if the answer is obvious for others, and - really nice bike, i believe all your bikes are nice, Fruit :)

I picked up this last week of the 'bay.
Didn't like the stumpy little bars and the saddle wasn't too comfy (Jeff Griffin Bucket now for sale on the 'bay)
So I slotted on a pair of Charge Slice bars and a Spoon saddle, also went for the matching bar tape - for the rims.
The pedals are single sided SPD's with a normal BMX style platform on t'other side for when I'm not commuting btw.
Personally I'm well pleased with it, this being my first venture into single speeding. Not sure how the 42:16 is gonna work out on my commute but I'll soon find out, I;ve been doing it on a geared flat bar roadie for the last 6 months,

[QUOTE=nuknow;1209825]I know you did, I just mentioned that the 'right' period seatpost should be the NR, at least on my frame.
Managed to get hold of a NR 2 bolt post will be nice after some elbow grease, just won this on Ebay to stick on it,
So it may not be to hard to get to the nuts to tighten it.

Re: no name, i'm told it was done on resprayed frames by Cyclone Cycles when they were still trading here in Cov.
After a couple of short outings with some grindy clicky noises, am i right in thinking stronglight Mygal is 1 8th not 3 32th's? It's that or chain too tight i reckon.

Chain tension in your pic looks OK, so unless you have tightened it since the photo was taken, it probably won't be the chain being too tight...Check that the tension of the chain doesn't vary too much when you spin the cranks, it should stay at roughly the same amount of tension, unless you have a poorly made chainring/sprocket.

elbow grease just means i have put in a lot of work with my hands, i remove rust from chrome with a piece of hard plastic or wood and just scratch it off and than wipe with a rag and last some autosol polish to get it really shiny again, never use anything metal on chrome
