diameter of a 27" rim is 630mm, for a 700c it's 622mm. So you need 4mm of clearance spare, assuming all else (tyre size etc) is equal.

if you're using standard 27 x 1 1/4 tyres, the radius of the wheel including the tyre is 343mm i think. so measure from the dropout to the nearest point where the wheel might rub on the front and rear and see if it'll work.

Had a bit of a google and everything is asking whether 700c wheels can fit on a 27" frame, which might be either some help, or none, im not quite sure.
anywhoo, can 27" wheels fit on a frame that was built for 700c? Aware it probably depends on the frame, and theres a fair bit of a gap between the frame and the wheel when its got 700c's on, so hoping it'll be okay just wanted to check.
