Vaguely related-anyone succesfully migrated hotmail with gmail?

I did it a while ago using izymail. You do have to pay a small subscription but it worked well. Basically I got it to forward all my existing hotmail to g-mail & then set it to do the same for new mails going to the hotmail address. I remember it being a bit clunky to set up but you can choose the folders to forward etc.

As I say this was a few years ago so there may be better / free ways to do it now.

Probably the easiest way would be to pay for hotmail plus (pop forwarding allowed) but it costs :(
