May I suggest offsetting the extra weight of that marvellous cottered crank by drilling the frame and forks all over at jaunty intervals?
Half inch diameter holes every quarter inch would lessen the weight and greatly improve ventilation inside the frame.
If it gets a bit too light do what I do and fill the saddlebag with some lead.
i hope the bike gets nicked before you get a chance to butcher it
