practise skidding in the wet or on sand, and take a look at the advice on here about skip-stopping and skid-stopping (it's pretty useful), but expect to get savaged by the regulars who are probably so incensed by your daring to ask such a question that they haven't stopped frothing at the mouth long enough to respond with sanctimonious invective.
