  • I'm going out on a limb here asking if any one on here is a qualified electrician (and based in London) as i need to get some equipment i made PAT tested to pass 'health & safety'.

If you know of anyone that'll sign off (or forge a PAT cert) who'll ideally do it for beer please PM me.

Without starting another thread... does anyone have a van i could borrow for a morning too?

    Thanks

  • Not that it's any help but a) you can't borrow my van and b) you can't help yourself to any of the PAT test stickers I keep in my van for 'emergencies'.

    Sorry

  • I'll do it for a twenty.

I am no expert and have none of the requisite qualifications, but I once electrocuted my little brother quite badly which gave me the rudimentaries.

  • hopeless bump

I pissed on an electric fence at my mates farm for a dare. It made my cock feel funny,

  • Long shot but it may be worth finding and talking to your local tool hire shop. Some do their own PAT testing. Not much use until monday morning now though.

    lol!!

  • I still have a large Volvo if that is sufficiently van like?

Re the PAT stuff- no help from here I am afraid.

    electroballs ?

  • I thought a bump would be better than a new thread.

The title says it all really. I am after someone to do some re wiring for me. It is a domestic job in SE14 (New cross Gate). If anyone is a sparky and prepared to give me a quote or anyone could suggest a contact, I'd be most grateful.

I've a friend who works for EDF. I'll ask him if you want.
    PM me or something.

What do you need doing as I was/am still JIB registered as an electrician, mainly industrial 3 phase stuff but house stuff is easier.

  • I used this yesterday, http://www.ratedpeople.com excellent service. The tradespeople phone you up and you can check if others have had good experiences with them. Placed ad, the guy came round within 20 mins as he was in the area, gave me a good quote and he is coming in to do the job tomorrow. Easy. I had 5 further calls off other sparks about the job after that.

  • Digging an old thread...

I need in a kind of near future a consumer unit changed at home. Any electrician here who can do this? (London SE)

  • bump!
I urgently need a qualified electrician in E2
    can anyone recommend someone?

My main RCD is constantly tripping and turning off the power to all my sockets.
It doesn't seem to be any particular appliance as all wall sockets are off and it still trips.

  • bump!

    Qualified electrician needed in N5

I think it's the dimmer switches, but maybe something more complex, I've lost light in 2 rooms....Fuses are fine etc...

  • Are you wearing sunglasses?

  • ^^
    That's shocking!

  • Going to bump this again, I need an electrician to sort out a blown over head.

No dodgy deals offered, or internet mates of a mates of a mates rates expected, just need someone trust worth and above board.

    Viccy park area.

  • Blown over head?

I presume you mean a light?

  • ^^ sent you a pm -

  • Somehow missed these posts. Thanks for everyones help! And yep, lights, pendant light...

  • Bump. I need a shower cable switch changed in the Morden/Sutton/Worcester Park area. If you can recommend someone, please do.
It might be a bit of a long shot but after all I found a good plumber on here before...

  • Another bump. I'm after a sparky who will install a 100A isolator on our incoming house supply and not ask any questions about our existing wiring.

  • Yes, the house is wired to modern regulations and safe, its more of a case of not asking questions about who did this work in the first place.
