Windows vs Linux (many flavours) vs Apple vs Other (Unix, BSD, Amiga, Atari).

I only brought this up, to illustrate the Locus OS.

Of course Windows still dominates, but is there a trend weakening their hold?

Certainly in the mobile world, they are losing ground. Is Linux ready for the big push yet?

Did WinMo have ground to lose? I had one of their early devices (a Compaq something or other PDA) and it was shit.

WinMo has been an unmitigated disaster. Once companies saw what happened when Microsoft dominated a market they formed alliances to stop them entering their space. The same will happen with Google.

Locus concept focuses around the idea of having separate, easily accessible workspaces for different settings, such as on a train, at home, while out with friends, etc.

I hate this BS, in an effort to make things simpler they immediate complicate shit. Why does everything need to fit into BS "status" type scenarios?

Put it somewhere and label it, done. That's it, stop fannying about brainstorming bullshit
