Offered: Industrial polishing

Just wanted to test the waters for a little potential extra cash for a family member,
he does of classic motorbike restoration so has all the machinery for referbing parts.
just wondering if people might be interested in using a service for referbing their parts (glass bead stripping and industrial polishing he might be able to do more not sure though) and how much would you be willing to pay??
obviously this is really a service for those who are far to lazy to strip and clean everything by hand and would prefer to part with some cash instead of hours of their time.
any thoughts??

Where is he based as I have a Columbus Air seat post that I would like polished. It would have to be delivered by me in person as I am not risking the thing with RM or a courier.

he is based in the midlands area so it would be a case of posting unless your up that way. i just sent a stem up there on the monday had it back by the weekend so pretty quick.

i think your man needs to say what he would charge rather than us saying how much we would pay. simple list would suffice.

I'd like a set of vintage Campag Pista cranks (the fluted ones) polished up ready to be anodised so they'll give a really good finish. [ducks and covers to face torrent of abuse]. Provide me a price if you could. If he knows anyone who does anodising he could save me a job.

I've been enquiring about this without much luck... Deffo interested if the price is right...

Perhaps it's also an idea to get steel stuff polished there before chrome plating.

I'll give A&C a call, wanna get all my Pista bits polished for the Mercian and I dunno if I can be arsed to do it myself this time... We'll see...

A&C are a nice lot- ask them about the Ducati they were asked to polish and then gold plate.

They are very affordable also.

ok just spoke to him he said that for small parts like stems and cranks it would be around £20 including postage, for larger stuff he would have to assess it at the time.
and if you have any other things that you would like done then he would see what it was and if he could do it.
so what do people think still interested?

when funding increases i might send my cinelli stem over to him, £20 inc postage sounds good
