Using Opera Mini on blackberry Curve:
All looks fine, apart from the Logout button at the bottom is half off the black stripe.
And no view new posts button? -

Opera mini on Nokia 6300, old format was perfect, new format is a bitch to navigate, don't need my pm list at the top of the subscribed page, no way to jump to last page of thread without going to the start of the thread first, and no link to show new posts... Was closer to perfect before and much more intuitive, also the text rendering is a bit heavy now... Please restore the old setup!

I'll see if I can run both... with iPhone version for everything except specific phones.
So the old version would be:
Nokias
Sonys
Blackberrys -

didnt like it at first but it's actually much better once you get used to it. The buttons at the top are ace. Thanks a lot
Only thing is you can't tell whether classified ads are for sale or wanted etc until you open them

Ah, another thing for the todo list.
- Post prefixes
- Dates next to posts
- Go to newest post when the thread is unread
- Page nav should offer First and Last pages
- Legacy phones should be given the older mobile theme
- Subscribed threads should be available
That's everything right?

Was coming here to bitch about the new theme, but those things dk posted are all that's wrong for me... Once they are implemented (particulalry the go to new post) I would say the change has been worth it (I read on an iPhone btw, which is my only Internet access)

Velocio- update list covers almost everything I've noticed, only other thing I see that's missing is a 'top of page' button or back to threads button at the bottom of pages, so you don't have to scroll up to navigate back to the forum/sub-forums.
Looks and works really well otherwise!

If you have an iPhone, tapping at the top of the screen will automatically return you to the top of the page anyway!

Hey, just logged in on my iPhone to a much better layout. Really good work chaps, much easier and clearer. :)

Just checked it too, real nice, good work!

One other thing, seeing if you've read the threads already would be dope

Colouring them?
The search results and stuff already have a line delineating read from unread... but would you prefer me to use a grey font instead of black for the titles of "read" threads?

I'm amazed. The new view/options are the doggys danglies. Two thumbs fresh...

It's still usable on the Blackberry, at least it should be. What bit doesn't work specifically?
I wasn't able to navigate the homepage or individual forums as the headers were all obscured (as if on top of each other) - although the threads themselves were ok once I had linked directly to them.
However I've had a play around and switched to Firefox and all seems to be well again...
Cheers :-)

I only just saw this thread (yeah, duh, blind innit!) but I've done a bit of enterprise iPhone app development, but I've had a play with the Webkit stuff when we were probing development routes. If you want a hand with any of this I'd be happy to help.

Using a blackberry with opera mini, the reply button in PM's doesn't work.

Came here to propose some more tweaks, but see they're all on the list. Feels a little bit less functional at the moment, but also as if with a couple of tweaks it will be much better than before. Good work.

By the way I don't know if it's been mentioned or it's on purpose, but you don't get the 'lastpage' button when there are three pages?

opera mini on LG Arena - works ok, but when I click on Menu, I get a weird overlay thing going on - like light grey text of the forum listings over the top of the bold 'proper' listings
using opera mini browser on the Nokia E71.
comments: nice colours and layout
-would be nice to see dates next to posts as noted previously.
-Would be good to see who started a thread and how many posts/pages on thread at the menu stage although I appreciate you may be trying to minimalise things for mobile.
-There doesn't seem to be a button to go to the last page of a thread when you are looking at a thread.
-Using my current browser it is impossible to tell when someone has posted a quote where that quote starts and finishes. The entire post is just a body of text which makes reading threads with quotes or discussions in quite difficult.
-The text starts off being aligned left for the first post or two in a thread, then the rest of the post start being centrally aligned
Overall it has made browsing the site more difficult on my phone. Sorry to whinge. :-(
Have been using my mobile to browse LFGSS for 6 months or so and been really enjoying it. is great to read stuff when you are just lounging about or on a train or something, thanks for all your continued efforts in to this great site.
