Standup comedy

I had Kevin Bridges at the very first night of my club last March - 12 people in the audience. Two weeks ago he sold out His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen...something like 1200 capacity......I doubt I will get him back again! The guy is only 22, been doing stand up for like 6 years. What I really like about him is that his material is pretty world weary and dark for someone so young....most comedians of his age it's all about living at home with their parents etc.

Kevin is a class apart - he will be massive.

is Kevin Scottish? i'm trying to remember if he's the person i'm thinking of.

I really love seeing Doug Stanhope live, he's one of the few people i will go out of my way to try and get tickets for. i'm fairly lazy about trying to find new comics or going out to see stand up, i always mean to catch more of it, because there are quite a few good comics out there.

I have seen a few good little comedy nights since i've been down here, sketch comedy more than standup usually though.
