Ah sorry you were hoping to use the whole lot as it is ? I had not heard of bb30 until I started looking around regarding this problem.

Looks like I am taking the van to the netherlands...=O...
If you are serious, ive wanted to make a trip over to the netherlands for a while to pick up a couple cheap bikes...group trip?

a load of strangers, in a van, going to the netherlands. Sounds like the recipe for a mobile sex party to me.
I'm in. -

That really could be a plan...
there are some really good bikes to be had for very little money, the bikes posted in the classifieds last week were ridiculously cheap (full campag gazelle @£200)
even if you went for love and not for profit, i.e.. just to keep and not sell, then for 500 squid you can get maybe 3-4 hot bikes if you are prudent...
Maybe ask Mr D Cheese or Fruitbat to keep there eyes peeled (even more than they do already) then go and pick up.
I don't see how it could go wrong...(hear the strains of dr pepper...)
What are customs like on bikes?

I believe you mean Fruit. Fruitbat is my dad and lives in London.

from the NL to the UK i presume

Serious depreciation, £142 for a Langster.

obviously this is a typo...sorry...;D...
and secondly about customs...bicycles are a 'luxury' so are possibly applicable to vat ..ie customs...
you arrive at 'whereever' dover, calais, etc ...and you have a van full of expensive tin...
are you then charged an extra £100 a bike to get them in the country...
-
• #22567
There isn't any custom charge to bring a bike into the UK from the NL...?
We are in the EU, a single market; the free movement of goods between states within that is a central legal right. Which is why you don't get to buy 'duty free' any more on journeys between countries within the EU
-
• #22568
nope, free trade of goods within the EU (even when you Brits don't really want to be a part of it)

Just badly listed IMO. No mention of the words 'Fixed', 'Fixie', 'Pista', 'Single speed' or 'Track' in the title...

Shit, I didn't realise the bb30 was a weird, thought it was just a model of external BB, have just looked at the listing and it's not clear at all. Hey ho.
Bet someone in the tredz web dept got a ticking off.
hope you make yer £27.95 back.
Took a chance and ordered on of these: Arrived this morning. FSA Gossamer with bottom bracket all for £27.95!!
Look on the Tredz website now and they are £227.95.
OOppppss.
Only trouble is I can't find an adapter to fit BB30 to a standard 68mm bottom bracket.
Looks like I'll have to bung it on e bay. -

i bought the bike near brick lane market several months ago for £380
the mere mention of buying a bike near brick lane market makes me shudder thinking about those shady characters sellers selling their stolen wares on a sunday morning.

lol
listing tards will pay.
Yes, but you cannot fit a BB30 to a standard bottom bracket shell, which is what I was after.
