I don't think that bike above actually IS that short in the rear, the bent seattube in that case is there to allow for a bigger diameter wheel. heck 700x48 is nearly a 29er wheel, fegging heeowge. I'd be surprised if the stays on this were less than something like a cutter - think tiny tyre and wheel slammed against the seattube.
though if someone does this with a 26er wheel it's damn perfec'
