I quit in 2006 and i'm still going strong. i smoked a fag a month for about a year after i stopped, then a cigar every couple of months till about 2008. no fags now. I knew when i gave up that was it. i challenged myself that i couldn't do it, and wanted to prove myself wrong. also kept picturing my girlfriends 'really disapointed' face when i was weak. hardest thing i ever did though, and i'm so pleased i did it, i totally have that 'I can do anything' attitude now as well. didn't use any quitting aids apart from normal wrigleys extra. (still on a pack of those a week though when i'm nervous or stressed.)
Now when I try to get my brother to quit he keeps saying 'you weren't a real smoker though, it couldn't have been hard for you to quit'. Fucking c*nt. He was the one that got me started too!
