3 in 6 months, bloody hell. what you got?
I hesitated on a fillet brazed Roberts that was on Ebay a few months back and regretted it to this day.

CHAS ROBERTS ROAD FRAME 1995 Columbus EL
Seat Tube (ctt) : 60cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 57.5cm (22.75in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C front and rear (brake drop of approx 45mm)
Bottom bracket threads: English
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is an exceptionally beautiful Chas Roberts fillet brazed road frame built from the very light Columbus EL tubing - it is really quite stunning. The paint is in practically perfect condition. There are no dents or dings. £185 SOLD
SCAPIN ROAD FRAME c1980
Seat Tube (ctc) : 55cm (21.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 46mm)
Bottom bracket threads: Italian
Frame tubing: Columbus SL
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
This is is a very nicely built and gorgeously detailed road Italian road frame from c1980 with the paint and chrome in generally very good condition. With horizontal dropouts it would make an easy singlespeed or fixed conversion. reduced to £160
CBT-ITALIA late 1970s
Seat Tube (ctc): 56cm
Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm
Rear dropout width: 122mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C wheel: 47mm
This frame has the delightful feel of a middle 70s frame and has CBT engraved bottom head lug, seat lug and fork crown. It has I think been repainted and been given the decals of a French cycle shop from Pau. It is in very sound condition with no dents or dings. The chrome on the forks looks very good though some pitting can be seen on the inside of the fork blades and there is rust under the crown. Dating this frame is a bit tricky - it looks really mid 70s but has Campy short dropouts and is drilled for Allen bolt fixing brakes. reduced to £115
RALEIGH ILKESTON ROAD FRAME 21.25in 1978
Seat Tube (ctt): 54cm (21.25in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Brake drop with 700C wheels: 54mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double-butted
This rather beautiful road frame is built from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing with Prugnat lugs with windows. It was made at the Raleigh Ilkeston plant under the direct supervision of Gerald O’Donovan. There are some gorgeous touches such as the slotted bottom bracket and oversize seatstay cap. It is designed for use use with allen nut fitting brakes. The frame appears to be very sound with no dents. This frame has more generous tyre/brake clearances than is standard so making it ideal for use with guards if necessary.
In autumn 1974 Raleigh established a specialist workshop (SBDU) capable of frame building to the very highest standards at Ilkeston in Derbyshire. Frames were built for the Ti-Raleigh continental pro team from the very beginning. They produced the only British frame to ever win the Tour de France (Joop Zoetemelk, 1980). The unit worked with Reynolds in developing Reynolds 753 and the first frames were tested by the Ti-Raleigh team in 1974. Genuine Ilkeston frames can be identified by frame numbers with 1 to approx 9500, prefixed SB. For a company as large as Raleigh, the SBDU was quite an unusual operation. Its production capacity was modest – at a maximum only about 1000 frames or so a year from about four framebuilders. SBDU frames were mostly built in stock designs except for the actual team frames. This frame would benefit greatly from a repaint or powder coat. And would make a really easy conversion to singlespeed or fixed. reduced to £120
GEOFFREY BUTLER ROAD FRAME 1960s/70s
Seat Tube (ctt): 62cm
Top Tube (ctc): 57cm
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C
Tubing: Reynolds 531 DB
Seatpost size 27.2mm
This frame features extremely beefy seatstays and top eyes. It was probably built in the late 60s/early 70s. With long horizontal dropouts its ideal for budget fixed/singlespeed conversion. The paint is in poor condition and there are no forks £39 SOLD
WHITLOW CLAUD BUTLER 1948
Seat Tube (ctt): 26in 66cm (25in 63.5cm to top of top tube)
Top Tube (ctc): 23.5in (60cm)
Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27in/sprints/700C
Brake drop with 700C/Sprint wheel: 63mm
Frame tubing: Probably Reynolds 531
This is one truly big frame - both long in the seat tube and top tube. Although transferred as a Whitlow of Runcorn it was undoubtedly built by Claud Butler. The rear dropouts are proprietary Claud Butler, the BB carries a 1948 CB number and the bi-laminated head, seat and BB is typically Claud but there is another frame number presuambly applied by Whitlow on the left rear dropout. In black and cream it is extremely attractive. The paint is in excellent condition with only a few marks. £175
RUDGE CLUBMAN FRAME c1949
Seat Tube (ctt): 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 114mm
Wheel size: 27in/
Brake drop with sprints/700C: 58mm
Raudge Clubman frames were one one step up from the basic Raleigh Lenton model or its Rudge equivalent with cutaway lugs, slightly steeper frame angles and Reynolds 531 butted main tubes. This one has charming original paint though the forks may possibly not be original – they are however certainly Rudge forks... These are really underrated frames which ride nicely and make a great conversion. £39 SOLD
TEAM BRITE MICRO LO-PRO TT FRAME Reynolds 853 c1998 built by Paul Donohue
Ex Chris Newton
Seat Tube (ctt): 44.5cm (17.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 52cm (20.5in)
Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 853
This frame is an ex Team Brite micro lo-pro frame that was ridden by Chris Newton around 1998 and is beautifully built from Reynolds 853 tubing. Paul Donohue’s works built all the Team Brite frames and they employed a tig welder who was truly superb - in my opinion he was just as good as the tig welders at Merlin who I had seen working back in 1994. Its a really gorgeous frame which would equate to about a conventional 21.5 in road frame and is designed for use with a long aero seatpost and aero bars of course. It comes complete as shown in the photos with its original bladed carbon fibre forks. reduced to £189
AENDE TT FRAME c1985 Reynolds 531 Pro tubing
Seat Tube (ctt) : 56cm (22in)
Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: Sprints or 700C (brake drop of approx 45mm)
Bottom bracket threads: English
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 Pro
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Aende frames were built by Pop Brathwaite near Nottingham - he specialized in TT frames - this one is very typical of his work with drilled lugs and steep frame angles. Its built from Reynolds 531 Pro tubing which is the light version of 531 and later morphed into 653. Its been beautifully refinished and is virtually perfect. £169 SOLD
