Is Hutch completely retired now? Doubt it would be him based on the writing style of the Ebay ad. I just thought the listing was funny, making out the wheels would be an advantage to Merckx, based on spoke count alone, and discounting the fact the wheels Merckx used were pretty special as well (~200g Nisi rims I think), especially given the bog standard tubs on them.

and filled with helium to make them even lighter as i always remembered hearing.

225 quid for that rourke? ..with those shanky decals?!
Mine will be selling for 1/4 the price ( in need of a respray..)
-

I don't think its priced too far off, considering it hasn't even been built up since the bob jackson refurb,
can do far worse for 225,
infact if it were a 59/60cm i'd be collecting it -

Good price for the Rourke. Rourke is my favourite and that one is very nice, would look great with a nice DA groupset.

This one may be going under the radar, looks like a 531C 1983 Raleigh Competition. Long way though.

there'll be mayhem if you sell that for £55.25 Prav, please say it'll be happening in the forum....
by the way got to agree with the others that the "satellite silver" frame is a nice Rourke and probably worth it even if they doin you no favours... looks like the road brother to shootthebreeze's sumptuous lo pro.

wasn't that Rourke at the jumble last weekend?

Isn't it more likely to be Michael Hutchison? He went for the Hour, as documented in his excellent book, called 'The Hour' funnily enough.
I believe he now lives in or around Cambridge somewhere.
I thought he died while performing an asphixiating sexual act on himself?

Hmmm, could be a few nice bits in that loft. The Gazelle is quite tasty aswell.
Wasn't really suggesting they where Boardman's wheels, probably should have written
'Boardman **also **did the athletes hour on royce hubs'.
Think he had to give most of the bike back afterwards?
