Nah, did it. 's not too wonky. the handlebars only cost a quid n it's for polo. cheers though. should not be so impatient i spose but oh well.

Ste, you mind if I come round before polo thursday, needing to borrow your 20mm drillbit (holesaw?). making a new mallethead, it looks proper girly.

• #3547
What you using Colin, a dril and a stanley knife?
-
• #3548
been experimerimenting, stanley knife digs in too much, and suddenly lets go when you try to chop bits off (near had my thumb).
Drilled a bunch of 1mm holes all around the outline of what I wanted to cut out. then had at it with pliers, then jewellers files and sandpaper.
This hdpe(?) stuff is really fibrous, hard to keep clean edges. When i say "and sandpaper" what i really mean is arseloads of sandpaper. Oh, and use
wood drillbits rather than metal, else they'll skip on the surface and create dints and pits - you can't really see it in the photo but above the birds wing to the left of the wingtip there's the result of finding this out. -

Does this mean ur comin to polo thursday? jus that'd potentially make it 6 + 3 (?) Hip Replacements (see polo virgins thread)

Aye, I'll be there. Working at 9 though, so will have to leave early.
hey would any, or all, of you be up for doing a workshop in mallet making and making wheel covers at the biccyle bee?? Would be great way to get people to come to polo and also for newbie poloers to make their own stuff in a friendly environment....
