Gorgeous red and chrome Italian geared bike, Columbus, Shimano 600 group, lovely, locked up outside the small Tesco on Shoreditch Hi St, been there a while, admired it every time...
...saw that yesterday it had been kicked in, had it's rear wheel removed and the saddle had been scrawled on in tipex. Someone save this poor thing!

Gotcha. I work nearby during the week and got sick of City pubs so head up there for a nice change.
Was at Strongroom a while back for a friend's birthday.Cool, I mainly do daytimes. It's cool working in a Shoreditch bar that isn't on the Old Street run, I imagine that'd be hell.

Yeah I keep meaning to post about this. I'm pretty ignorant to frames so I've never heard of it (Bennichio or something?) but it's sad to see the rear wheel missing. Saying that I think it's abandoned, I've seen it there every day / evening / night for months.

Spotted being wheeled through Charing Cross station last night just before 7pm. Head fuzzy and full of cold; it & rider were almost out of sight by the time I registered them.

I just spent the last day and a half in Zürich and love the bicycle culture there. Even in snow they clear the roads and people are cycling about. Half the bikes aren't locked and the ones that are use spaghetti noodle locks. I saw a gorgeous Fausto Coppi outside the Zürich HB train station with no lock.
And our friends' flat had dedicated bike storage outside their front door. Lovely.
