  • This is a very nice frame set 531 or even higher grade steel it's mega light not sure of the maker but I think it maybe a holdsworth or better the lugs are very nice I have just had it powdercoated today in bright red the close ups look like an orange but it is bright red has a brand new headset and is drilled for a modern brake the dropouts are Campagnolo as are the fork ends.Its for 700c

  • Why, oh why, did you not remove the adjusters from the rear dropouts before powdercoat?

    Yes it does and the forks I thought it may be a mercian it's hard to find out who's serial no it is BW111286

  • I don't recognise that serial number at all. Its not a Mercian number, but I presume that the 86 on the end of the number relates to the year. I can't think of any manufacturer who has those initials

    Different man - Barry Witcomb was in Deptford, London. No idea if his frame numbers started BW tho'.

  • Somebody wanted a picture with wheels to show clearance here you go front tyre is 700/20 and rear tyre is flat did not have time this morning to pump it up and get the phto sorted
