At the Manchester bike jumble this week Dolan were selling off repaired cracked frames (badly welded)

There were LOADS of them (10 maybe). Strikes me that they must crack all the time. Blergh.

  • Hi All-

Haven't posted in a while - I've since moved from Brooklyn (NYC) to Canterbury, so I'm actually in England now (hopefully London next fall). Anyway, made a few changes to my bike - I'm one of maybe 3 people who ride a single speed in Canterbury, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who rides fixed. The brilliant cycle kids at Kent Uni (where I'm doing postgrad work) suggested I put gears on my bike to ride with them...

  • saw this parked outside french connection on knightsbridge the other day!

Well, what can I say- I like to dress like a bit of a vag! No, that's not true. Well, it's not, not true, but actually it's just because I'm working in the office nextdoor at the moment.

    Will there be subsequent tips?

  • Yes. You should try and make it to downland cycles by kingsmead swimming pool. Great bike shop. The hill up to the uni from the westgate must be a bit of a killer fixed.

Ah, a useful tip at that! Thanks, that is one shop I have not been to - I'll check it out.

Yeah, the hill isn't my favorite, but it is doable. Plus, I always ride the Uni path which is much better than the main road from the westgate.

cool! i also really like the theme music for your website - it appears to be an instrumental version of Taylor Swift's 2009 hit. Which was awesome.
    And these bikes are awesome.
    :)

  • FYi- it was called 'Love Song' and featured on her (debut?) album 'Fearless.

    You're welcome.
