It was me Melv. I do that ride from my Mum's in Ashwell to Herne Hill in London every once in a while. it's good training. I was wondering if you took your bikes down to Bowes Lyon? I used to hang out there a lot with my skateboard. My bikes a 753 Whitcomb (not Witcomb) from the Wirral. Not surprised you couldn't see what it was - I hadn't cleaned it in 6 months. Good to put a name to face.

Haha yea good old bowes. I used to skate there when I was a kid, then bmx, then blades and yes I've taken my fixed there a few times. Not that I can do much on it there but the bmxers think it's fun to have a go!... Yea when you didn't stop at the station I thought you must be going to knebworth station. Haha. How naive of me... Some pissed up numpty in a suit (with kiddy chair on back) cycling like a cock along Stockwell road last night about half 10. I was coming back from the science museum with a mate. We passed him, so he caught up and decided to try to ride right up our arse (heavy breathing and all).... shot past us at a red light, then had to skid and swerve to avoid being hit by a car. There was nothing fluid about any of it. I'd be surprised if he made it home and not to a and e.
