Probs too late now but I caught up with a guy riding fixed in Stevenage on Saturday. Chucked a few words at eachother. He said he was just flying by and was cycling back to south London. Anyone from here? Didn't really see his bike. Think it was surly?? Massive bag and shades!
It was me Melv. I do that ride from my Mum's in Ashwell to Herne Hill in London every once in a while. it's good training. I was wondering if you took your bikes down to Bowes Lyon? I used to hang out there a lot with my skateboard. My bikes a 753 Whitcomb (not Witcomb) from the Wirral. Not surprised you couldn't see what it was - I hadn't cleaned it in 6 months. Good to put a name to face.

Haha yea good old bowes. I used to skate there when I was a kid, then bmx, then blades and yes I've taken my fixed there a few times. Not that I can do much on it there but the bmxers think it's fun to have a go!... Yea when you didn't stop at the station I thought you must be going to knebworth station. Haha. How naive of me... Whitcomb, I remember seeing it now, that's why I mentioned deptford even though it's the witcomb shop! Haha. Any who, nice to meet you, maybe I'll see you again 1 day on your journey to London, I'll be on the east coast 12:30 train tho to kings cross peering out the window at welwyn garden city thinking to myself "ah there's that piston legged lew red chap!"

Intercepted on the way in by jonny (+shiny white sidis), a charming change from the tour de commute and nodder obstacle course, as well as making the crawl over waterloo bridge a little less awful. bonus points for remembering the name that accompanied the bike.

Attn: Willier Triestina rider on the Bayswater Road this morning.
Newsflash: You BOUGHT the bike, it was NOT given to you by Willier because of your awesome cycling prowess and road awareness. Ride accordingly or you'll have to cough to shift gears.
Thank you.

Some pissed up numpty in a suit (with kiddy chair on back) cycling like a cock along Stockwell road last night about half 10. I was coming back from the science museum with a mate. We passed him, so he caught up and decided to try to ride right up our arse (heavy breathing and all).... shot past us at a red light, then had to skid and swerve to avoid being hit by a car. There was nothing fluid about any of it. I'd be surprised if he made it home and not to a and e.

yeah, good to see you dude. was always gonna remember the name of the dude who took that massive gear on the TNRC exedown hill route. sorry to slow you down a bit this morning but i think you had already won the race against the fella on the red fixed.
try and get to the rollers next weds if you can, otherwise catch ya again soon.
Just saw a guy on Highbury Grove, think with a brown hat or jacket. We both looked at each other in this kind of "o hai" way. Hello! I was grumpy at the time due to being given shit/wrong directions for 2 time... Was on my way to deploy an essay for someone else in true fakenger style - my controller being my better half.
