Personally I wouldn't use off the shelf powergrips, make your own! Much more robust, much cheaper. Visit this thread on the tricktrack forum for some ideas.

I'd echo the above and make something yourself that'll be more durable or else buy some Hold Fast / Chicago Wig / Jol straps - they'll be much better. And they're designed for bmx pedals.
PowerGrips have snapped on me mid-braking in the past, it's not fun. Don't get them, they're shit! -

I use these - http://www.feetbelts.com/ - which I am breaking in at the moment. Still finding it fiddly getting the left foot in on cycling off, but I have small feet and the loops are relatively small. Made from recycled seatbelts!

Where can you get Feetbelts/Holdfasts/JOLs? The first two are based in America, and JOLs more or less aren't based anywhere...Powergrips are the only ones I can find online in the UK, is there that much difference in quality to go hunting for somewhere to get one of the others than just ordering Powergrips from Evans?
I really like the look of powergrips as foot retention, the idea is so simple and Ive had a go in a couple (granted on mountain bikes) but they hold my feet really well, so im thinking Im gonna buy some fairly soon.
however, I got big feet, and I like a large platform for my feet to stand on, and Ive got loads of bmx pedals floating around that Id like to use (I dont want to freestyle, I just want to use the pedals) rather than gather dust in cupboard, is there any way you can get powergips to work on bmx pedals?
if not, anyone want some battered old JIM C's left pedal pretty worn. got pins, but nightmare forcing them thru due to pedal grinds.
