Out of respect to our fallen comrade, we are bringing no locks, so we will have to watch over the bikes, whilst others buy the gargle.
Stupid, but good, and great to announce the time and place on the forum. :)
OK, a tricky call, and apologies if I am cutting across anyone.
At Saaf drinks this evening there were discussions as to where people were meeting. No pressure if you already have a plan, but Jimbilly, myself and a few others are meeting at Trafalgar Square at 1pm, departing 1.30 on Friday for the trip to the memorial service in Mortlake.
Our hero was fond of a drop of spirit, well he was certainly full of it, so we are going to toast our olde friend with a fine malt at Albanach, the Scotish Bar near Admiralty Arch.

I choke at the thought of Friday, but Henry V keeps ringing in my ears
***We few, we happy few, we band of brothers
For he today who rides his bike with me
Shall be my brother
Be he ne'ere so vile
This day shall gentle his condition
And gentlemen in England now a'bed
Shall feel themselves acursed
They were not here
And hold their manhoods cheap
When any speaks
Who rode with us on Fiddy's day.
