61 cm is a very big frame. Obvioulsy it depends on your inside leg measurements. I am 6'2" with long legs and I ride a 58x58 and a 59x59. The 58 is probably a little small as I have the seatpost very high but 59 is perfect for me. 61 I reckon would be pretty big for someone who is only 6'2"

Well I imagine that a 59cm would do then. He just told me from his measurements but he is about your size.
Anyone have one going?

If you make the all the way to the 3rd page, there's a Roberts frame for sale. or closer to home there's a Gazelle knocking about.

59cm track frame is equivalent to a 61-62cm more relaxed geometry road/track frame, as the pure track frame will have a higher BB.

i've never understood that point, as surely yo uwould keep your leg extension the same? So you would require the same seat tube length, the only thing that would change would be the BB height and geometry.

true, but alot of people measure fit by standover as well. standover is identical, but pure track frame is naturally smaller.
I'm going to be putting together a fixed/free bike for a friend and thought I'd ask on here before I start on ebay as to whether anyone has a bike/frame which would suit someone 6ft+. 61cm frame right?
Ideally it would take 700c wheels and a rack on the back, as we might do a little touring on it later on.
I can easily come pick up in London as I don't live too far away.
thanks,
