well, a custom built steel frame is expensive £700ish but a custom built ti frame is £950 and up, Burls was the cheapest guy i found and doing custom built frames by a longshot, most others i inquired about were closer to £1500.

I don't know mate, you can get a pretty good lightweight strong tubing for £700 or under (Reynolds 853 as an example), whether the cheapest custom titanium are usually plain gauge tubing for similar money, it'd cost something like £1300 for a triple butted titanium, that would be 'all the way'.

not that there's anything wrong with plain gauge titanium of course.

I would love to have a titanium frame (especially your), but frankly, there isn't anything wrong with steel and it's not exactly hard to look after steel if you want it to last.
