I'm tempted to take it for the bits (My old man has a Corsair - with a 27" frame - you need a ladder to mount it), and then desecrate it by converting it with a fixed hub.

fair play - I thought you were done here (ie sold), and was alerting anyone who may have been interested but missed out. certainly don't want to intrude on your bizniz.
I shall remove the offending post above and re-post afresh.

the corsair makes a lovely fixed conversion in my experience - runs like a dream (if a little heavy) - but bought in this condition i'd be tempted to keep it geared. i got mine in a real mess and could really only salvage frame, forks and handlebars.

okay, because I need cash (mainly due to buying http://www.lfgss.com/thread39754.html) I am selling this on.
Its a great bike but I need room/cash - all I have done is change the saddle to a brooks and also put in a new (longer) seatpost.
Bikes in great condition and I have done about 200 miles on it, no problems. In order to hasten a sale I want exactly what I paid for it, including the new bits I added. So yours for 170 quid.
I dont always check these forums so your best sending me a pm. You can either view in E17, or we can meet in/around W1.
Thanks,
Matt. -

ha! i have sources that pointed me here.
glad you enjoyed it Mashton - just happy someone is getting proper use out of it.
NOW SOLD TO BAD MATT.
I know it's a fg/ss forum, but have noted a love for retro geared rides, so I have a Carlton Corsair tourer to sell. 10 speed. 27" wheels.
Bought off Ebay about 6 months ago with a view to refurb. No time and now need to sell on to make room for a road bike.
I'd say 8.5/10 condition.
Size is 60cm ctt - seat tube. 57cm ctc top tube. 531 tubes and lugged & lined.
Have just recabled last night and having taken it around the block, it's running super sweet.
Awful pic attached - if interested let me know and I'll take some more this evening.
£170 - covers my costs and no more. 5% of sale price the forum.
Located in SW11 for test runs and inspections.
Ta,
Col.
