Well, yes, they are pedals. Not porn though. These, on the other hand...
Both too messy. Speedplay FTW.

Don't you need road shoes for those?

If it were only about simplicity, we'd all be on these
and nobody would want that.

Portland, the only American city that are probably more cycle-friendly than London.
you obviously havent spent much time in the states.
Portland is vastly overrated -- just a city that's poured alot of money into bicycle infrastructure and PR. Portland is also mostly just bicycle-related businesses and framebuilders...and lots of hippies that live green. Owning a car is still a consideration in Portland, despite all the hype. They still have a long way to go.
Chicago, NYC, and San Francisco are way more bike friendly (as far as commuting and living car-free) and easily up there with London.

Obviously not, it's from what I heard from people praising Portland as if it were Copenhagen.
Copenhagen's still the best when it come to cycling.

Looks like a £10k nodder bike with that position. 2 posts, 2 poor aesthetic decisions. Not an auspicious start.

the bars are set up really badly if you want to race the track on it. might be suitable if you have back problems tho...
edit: plus whatever he says vv

That crank for starters. Throw the stem in too, it's yuk.
Seriously though, the frame is great. As are the wheels... but the photo doesn't do it justice, too dark, can't see any of the details. It's also a repost, but what the hell.

well, there it goes - thanks for whole lots of attention to my first post people :)
however, isn't this thread about form and all of the above comments ^^^ are about function? -

The cranks are ugly in context.
The stem is ugly in context.Functionally they're probably fine, one moves the chain, one holds the bars... yup, functionally fine.
They're just fugly.

here's a second shot (sorry, this seems to be Sugino 75s again :) -

here's a second shot (sorry, this seems to be Sugino 75s again :)Dont like the modern look of the radial front wheel on that frame (which is very much porn). Hate white tyres too (but that just my taste). TBH the 75s look out of place too IMHO.
Must try harder ;)

Yeah, I know. They have speedplays on them too, I know.
But they're still ugly.
Perfectly functional... but ugly. Not porn.

I really don't agree that there's anything wrong with those cranks on that bike somehow
I really, really like that. I'd probably look like a tit on it, but would love to have one.
